“The shoe we'd still make, even without the lift.”
Height shoes, for people who hate height shoes. Here's what that actually means in the product.
Clean proportions and a modern silhouette. The lift is built in, not bolted on. The goal is a shoe you'd want to wear even if it did nothing for your height.
An engineering-first approach to elevated footwear, focused on how the shoe supports you after hours of wear, not just how it feels for the first ten minutes.
Every material and component is being chosen deliberately, not picked to hit a price point. Quality we can point to, not just claim.
The same hidden-lift platform, in finishes built for everyday wear.
Adding height inside a shoe changes how weight moves through your foot with every step. Get that wrong, and a shoe can feel fine for the first hour and work against you well before the end of a full day.
The founder wore existing elevated footwear and ran into exactly this. Ascent exists to solve that specific problem, not to make a generic comfort claim.
All-day comfort is the goal every decision on this shoe is being made against. It's a design target we're engineering and testing toward, not a result we're claiming is already proven on this specific product.
I'm an engineer, and I've personally worn the trade-off this category is known for: a shoe that looks the part in the store but doesn't hold up by the end of the day.
Before Ascent, I spent a year of my undergraduate degree on a related question: what actually makes a shoe comfortable under sustained, real-world load. That project involved computer simulations, physical prototypes, and repeated experimental testing benchmarked against the Nike Alphafly 3, and it was recognized with the university's Most Technical Award.
That prototype and Ascent are not the same shoe. The research discipline carries over directly, but Ascent is a new product. Long-duration, all-day comfort is the design target we're building and testing toward, not a result we're claiming has already been proven on this specific shoe.
An alternative version of the build, shown as one potential direction for the design.
We're not asking you to trust a pitch. We're asking you to help us find out, honestly, whether this is worth building, before either of us spends real money on the wrong thing.
That $40 applies toward the $199 founder pre-order price if you move forward. Expected future retail price is $249.
Ascent is still in development. Manufacturing only moves forward if enough people reserve a pair. If it doesn't, we tell you directly, with no silent disappearing act.
Request a refund any time within 90 days of your reservation, and you get your $40 back in full. No forms, no runaround.
If this doesn't happen, you'll know exactly why, and you'll have your money back.
Fully refundable for 90 days. Secure checkout powered by Stripe.
We're not publishing a specific number yet. We don't have a finalized, verified spec to stand behind, so rather than guess, we're using language like “hidden height boost” until that's locked. We'll update this page the moment it is.
That's the design brief: proportions and a silhouette that read as a normal, premium sneaker. We can't guarantee exactly how any individual pair looks until production samples exist, but it's the standard we're designing to, not an afterthought.
All-day comfort is the central engineering goal, informed by the founder's own experience and prior footwear-engineering work. Final validation depends on production prototypes and wear testing, which haven't happened yet for this specific shoe. Treat this as our target, not a claim.
It reserves your place at founder pricing and applies toward the $199 founder pre-order price if you move forward. It's a deposit, not the full purchase price.
Yes. Fully refundable for 90 days from the date you reserve, no forms required. See our Refund Policy for details.
We don't have a manufacturing or ship date yet. Ascent is still in validation and development, and we'll tell reservation holders directly once that changes.
If we decide not to proceed, we'll inform every reservation holder directly and refund all outstanding deposits in full, per our Refund Policy.
The shoe we'd still make without the lift.
The lift just makes it Ascent.
